Swipe left, I’m @shonedowen and I’m the Founder of @tanyawhitebits
I love meeting people although I’m most commonly mistaken for Tanya! Hence why I’ve adopted the #tanyanottanya hashtag.

For those who don’t know me, my business started as a mobile Spray Tan service and I called it Tanya Whitebits because:
1. I love puns, some of my favourite biz names are a wine shop called “planet of the grapes” a bakery called “bread pitt” and a chippy called ‘ the cod father”
2. It was a personal catchphrase
3. My own name is a bit boring and I wanted something fun and catchy that made people smile.

Although the name came from a personal perspective, I developed products that are gender neutral and suitable for every skin tone. I am also proud to be part of a British tradition of naming my business after an ironic name and you can find out more about my business journey in my blog section on the website.
